Another adventure.

25 Jul

We went camping last weekend. The reservations at Potawatomi State Park had been made eleven months ago. The goal: Door County in cherry season. As the day to depart approached, the smoke arrived. We decided to still go, knowing full well we’d be spending more time than usual inside the camper.

On one morning when the air quality was better, we escaped to pick cherries. Years ago, we were in Michigan at cherry season and Dave became like a small child with excitement. He loooooves fresh cherries.

Another morning we spent some time at Door County Coffee which – in the few times we’ve been up that way – has become a favorite stop. They have a great patio to enjoy coffee and lunch.

Inside the camper, Dave brought a project playfield to work on. I read a book. We watched movies. Slept in.

While not our typical camping adventure with lots of fresh air, it still was a good trip away. (We rate campgrounds by bathrooms. The bathrooms at Potawatomi were not stellar! But otherwise a lovely stay.)

We’re now off on another adventure. It just began yesterday. So far:

More to come.
